Dai Matsuoka
Born in 1982.
Graduated Sophia University, the Faculty of Comparative Culture.
Graduated Kuwasawa Design School.
Dai Matsuoka is a dancer who seeks for potential relationships between dance and design.
He has been in the butoh group Sankaijuku since 2005.
In Feb 2009, he embarked on his first solo project called "NEAR MATTER" through collaboration with the sound media art group "[b]".
Matsuoka has continuously been making his own projects and pieces.
The process of working he prefers is to bring in the method of alienation-effect from the perspective of "representation engineering." -
